High precision direct casting resin – 20% wax, zero residue

Formlabs Castable Wax Resin is a professional-grade resin designed for no-post-curing investment casting , ideal for jewelry, dentistry, and investment casting applications. Its formulation contains 20% real wax , ensuring a clean burnout with no residual ash and maintaining excellent precision in the most intricate details.

It is the ideal solution for those who want to print casting-ready models with sharp details, smooth surfaces and complex geometries, such as watermarks or thin supports.

Castable Wax Resin is compatible with standard and rapid burning cycles. It is recommended to use specific lost wax or high heat resistance plasters. It does not require any post-curing: after washing, the models are ready to be included directly in the cylinders.

    Main advantages

    • Wax-based formula (20%) : burns cleanly, without residue

    • No post-curing required : print → wash → fusion

    • Extremely high definition of details : perfect for intricate elements

    • Compatible with major lost wax casting processes

    • Smooth and finishable surfaces , reducing pre-casting manual work

    • Printable with 25 or 50 micron layers

    Recommended Applications

    • Personalized jewelry (rings, pendants, filigrees)

    • Dental crowns and bridges for microfusion

    • Small and detailed metal components

    • Master models for high precision prototyping

    Directions for use

    • For best results, print with well-placed media and thin layers.

    • Use Form Wash for post-print washing

    • Protect printed models from direct light and excessive heat before casting

    • Preliminary testing with your own laboratory's burn cycle is recommended
